The popularity of ATMs paved the way for widespread acceptance of interactive kiosks. The public is more comfortable now using kiosks in a variety of settings. The use of touch screens has enhanced the popularity of kiosks by making them operable even by people lacking computer experience.

Wine Search
WineSpirits Media brings to the consumer the ability to display, through a simple interactive touch menu system, a list of all products in the store inventory that meets any customer preference or criteria for selection of a wine. The customer may select wines by country of origin, grape variety, color, price and/or sweetness. From the result list the customer can then select any product to obtain more specific wine information such as appropriate food accompaniments, tasting notes, grape variety information, winery or wine region information for anyparticular wine.

Wine Food Pairing
This feature is available to the customer whereby they can select from any of a number of food types to produce a list of wine products in inventory that would provide suitable accompaniment to that particular food category. As with all product lists, the customer may then select a specific wine to obtain, on screen, more specific information as in wine search.

Wine Scan
Specific, detailed information about any product can be displayed through a more direct means by selecting a product from the shelf and passing it in front of the PIPOS scanner. This feature allows the consumer to quickly find an answer to most questions on any wine without the intervention of any store personnel.

Internet connectivity
In stores where internet connectivity is available, the customer, with a simple touch of a button, can e-mail the wine information directly from the store to their home. This allows the customers to have, at their ready disposal, information about the wine that they may be serving to their guests or offering to their hosts. If knowing what you are drinking enhances the pleasure then PIPOS certainly adds pleasure to every wine purchased.

Customer History Retrieval
Customers who sign up for the "WineSpirit Card" can have PIPOS update and maintain a record of their wine purchases. They can also input and store their comments about wines they have previously purchased through the WineSpirits Website. This information can then be retrieved by the customer when they are at the store by simply scanning their "WineSpirit Card" at a PIPOS unit.

PIPOS Recommends Wines
Based on their previous wine purchases PIPOS will also be able to recommend other wines which the customer might prefer.
