For
the last 15 years, Sunshine Communications has been providing
Cable television services to Grand Forks and Christina Lake.
At the time the Cable TV system was built, Sunshine Communications
used state of the art equipment, building a system capable
of carrying 62 channels, something no other cable TV system
had done.
Sunshine Communications holds an approved CRTC licence to
carry on a broadcasting undertaking in Grand Forks and Christina
Lake. Sunshine Communications is also a member in good standing
with the Canadian Cable Television Association (CCTA), Canadian
Cable Service Association (CCCSA), Canadian Association of
Internet Providers (CAIP), BC Internet Association (BCIA)
and the Western Society of Cable Television Engineers (WSCTE).
Sunshine Communications offers an impressive channel line-up
that has something for every member of the family. Programming
that entertains, educates and informs. Choose from a combination
of Canadian and American networks and Superstations, sports,
news, drama, music, comedy, weather, documentaries, children's
shows, movies, as well as specialty programming that focuses
on the outdoors, home and garden, speed, history, science
and nature.
The highest technical standards and digital video compression
(DVC) technology is used to provide a sharp, clear picture
and CD quality sound.
Sunshine Communications brings community events, issues and
talent into your home with community programming on Cable
10. Local people produce regular programming on Tuesday at
10 AM and Thursday at 1 PM. This is programming that gives
you a chance to see events that happen exclusive in the heart
of the Boundary area.
